Isabella, are we the same person? I also decided to stay in France so that I wouldn't be seperated from my partner. I'm happy I made that decision but it was also very difficult and lonely. All of my American friends also went back to the states. It was a very hard time of my life that I sometimes feel I'm still working through.

I have always wanted to see Italy. I'm comforted and at the same time sad (because I know how hard it can be) to hear that I'm not the only one who has gone through this same experience of the transformation/identity crisis that happens when moving to a new country.
